FD 346 Case Study: First Choice Mailing
Formax Dealer Mark Bond has been in the mailing equipment business in Florida for more than 30 years. In 2004, he started his own company, First Choice Mailing. Formax was one of the first companies he reached out to as he was building his product line. We recently talked with him about his experiences with Formax, and especially the FD 346 Touchscreen Tabletop Folder.
Time for an Upgrade
One of his long-time customers had been using a Formax FD 340 for more than a decade. In the last couple of years, he proposed upgrading to a newer model, but they were happy with the quality and durability of the FD 340. Once the fold rollers had too much wear and couldn’t produce a satisfactory fold, the customer decided it was time to try the FD 346 with the new touchscreen control panel.
Familiar Design with a Modern Touch
Bond said this was his first experience installing the FD 346, and it was a positive one: simple to install and operate, and easily handled the customer’s folding jobs. It has a familiar design to their previous machine, with an upgraded user interface. “The new touchscreen is unique among comparable folders,” he said. “The customer really appreciated that because it’s modern and what they’re used to using on smartphones and other devices.”
Formax is a Top Choice
First Choice offers products from other manufacturers, but Bond said he prefers Formax. “Having a service background, I like reliability, dependable service, and well-constructed equipment. Everything from Formax meets those qualifications,” he said. “Plus, Formax service technicians are responsive and knowledgeable, and the sales team is always available to anwer questions.”
