The FD 442 is easy to set up, right out of the box. Simply load mail on the infeed, and the photo eye sensor automatically starts and stops feeding. Within seconds, mail is open and ready to distribute.

The innovative cutting mechanism slits one edge of the envelope from edge to edge, ensuring the contents are undamaged, and leaving behind no messy paper scraps. The LED status indicator keeps allows users to keep track of its progress.

It opens mail up to 4mm thick, in envelopes up to 10″ x 13″.  The infeed extension supports large envelopes, and the freestanding catch tray stacks them neatly. With a processing speed of up to 200 envelopes per minute, your mail will be ready in no time.
