The AP4 High-Volume Monochrome Digital Address Printer is designed for in-line applications, and features an industry-leading 4-inch print area and a 2+4+2 head configuration. This workhorse can print up to 26,000 #10 envelopes per hour, or up to 34,000 postcards per hour, with variable print resolutions up to 600 DPI, and the ability to print on a variety of coated and uncoated stocks.
The infeed transport deck has positionable transport belts and guides that run under the belts for spot-on print registration at high speeds. Three independent print head banks offer a total 4-inch print height, and can overlap if needed, with a maximum print range of 12.75”. It accommodates pieces up to 1/2” thick.
For flexibility, the AP4 is available as a stand-alone model, compatible with a variety of feeders and existing mailing equipment. It’s also available as the AP4F which combines the AP4 with the AP12 Heavy-Duty Friction Feeder to hold up to 500 #10 envelopes.
Its user-friendly color touchscreen includes an adjustable backlight, and provides full control of functions, including the ability to store and recall common print jobs, up to 16GB. The user interface allows users to preview jobs, change output speed, access troubleshooting tools, and even estimate the cost of a job before sending it to print.
Additional features include on-screen ink monitoring for both percentage used and approximate pieces remaining, USB 3.0/LAN connectivity, the ability to print any TrueType font, spot color capability, and batch/job/lifetime counters. An optional 3-foot conveyor stacker is available for easy handling after printing.
