We had the pleasure of speaking with Lauren Graves of PJ Graves and Daughter about their success with selling the ColorMax7 Digital Color Printer. Because it uses the latest technology to produce full color output at three times the speed of traditional shuttle head printers, the ColorMax7 has made a nice addition to their product line. “It’s a great add-on product,” Graves said, “When we go in for an inserter sale, we talk about the ColorMax and how it’s a more cost effective way to print envelopes than a machine that requires toner.”

A selling point Graves uses when visiting her customers is, “Unlike a regular laser printer, a printed piece from a ColorMax7 emulates one from a 4-color press.” It prints high-quality, full-bleed, and is very fast with speeds of up to 7,200 pieces per hour. The ColorMax7 conveniently combines a printing press with a copier. “A lot of our customers are schools. They use it for their short run envelope jobs. Once they see a demo, they love it,” Graves said. “You can also print variable data,” which is a leading-edge print service.
